On October 19, 2024, in Zhongshan, the birthplace of great figures, the 4th Zhongshan Vocational Skills Competition for waterproofing workers was held,\u00a0themed “Craftsmanship in Xiangshan, Creating the Future through Skills.”<\/strong>\u00a0Organized by the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and hosted by Guangdong Qinglong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., with support from Zhongshan Technical Institute, the event aimed to discover and honor highly skilled talent in Zhongshan. It provided a platform for waterproofing professionals to showcase their expertise and exchange experiences.<\/span><\/p>

The event kicked off grandly at 1:35 PM at\u00a0Qinglong’s Home Waterproofing Training Base<\/strong>. Attendees included notable guests like Zhang Suhuan, third-level officer from the Zhongshan Human Resources Examination Institute; Li Ruichuan, deputy director of the Training Center at Zhongshan Technical Institute; Huang Jiquan, a teacher from the same institute; Dr. Yao Zhiqiang, from the Construction Waterproofing Professional Committee of the Chinese Architecture Society; Zhang Ke, General Manager of Guangdong Qinglong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.; and He Jinlong, Marketing Director. Over 30 waterproofing workers and professionals from Zhongshan participated in the event.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Mr. He Jinlong, Marketing Director of Guangdong Qinglong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., delivered a passionate welcome speech, expressing gratitude to the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and industry colleagues for their support and encouragement. He emphasized the importance of waterproofing techniques in improving construction quality and encouraged contestants to give their best, showcasing their professionalism and unique styles. His speech was met with enthusiastic applause.<\/span><\/p>

Next, Chief Judge Dr. Yao led the panel of judges in taking an oath, promising to evaluate the competition with fairness and impartiality. Following this, all participants and guests gathered for a group photo, capturing this exciting moment.<\/span><\/p>

At 2:00 PM, the Chief Judge officially announced the start of the competition. The event featured two categories: waterproof membrane installation and waterproof coating application. The membrane installation competition ran from 2:00 to 3:30 PM, where contestants demonstrated their advanced skills and extensive experience within the allotted time.<\/span><\/p>

By 4:50 PM, the results calculation phase began, with the judges carefully tallying the scores. After intense competition and strict evaluation, the winners were announced, leading to thunderous applause and a peak in the event\u2019s atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It is reported that the winners not only received generous cash prizes but also qualified for the Advanced (Level 3) Waterproofing Technician certification and were recommended for city-level competitions. The champion, if already holding the advanced certification, could be promoted to a Technician (Level 2) certification and enjoy related benefits.<\/span><\/p>

This year’s vocational skills competition provided an excellent platform for the development of the waterproofing industry. It showcased the efforts of the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Qinglong Waterproof in vocational training and talent cultivation.
